After twenty-three editions in Crans-Montana, the iconic mountaintop gathering Caprices Festival is stepping into a bold new chapter. Beginning in 2026, the festival’s flagship winter edition moves to Eggli in Gstaad, a location that blends expansive alpine scenery with a refined production environment built straight into the mountain’s existing architecture. Surrounded by a sweeping 360° view of the Swiss Alps, the new site deepens the festival’s long-standing connection between music, landscape, and immersive design.
The shift signals thoughtful evolution rather than reinvention. With over two decades of shaping what a mountain festival can be, Caprices now expands the experience with improved protection from the elements, a more fluid layout, and creative staging possibilities that bring the environment even closer into the storytelling. The wider region offers everything from 201 kilometers of slopes to husky sledding, hiking, and biking—further anchoring the festival within the alpine lifestyle that has defined its identity since day one. Still, the core remains unchanged: meticulous curation, world-class sound, and a global community of music lovers representing more than 75 countries.
Access has also been streamlined. Continuous gondola service from midday until 4AM offers a quick seven-minute ride to the summit. Once at the top, guests will discover three new glasshouse stages, each crafted to deliver its own atmosphere. The Peak Stage opens to dramatic mountain vistas and large-scale performances; the CNTRL Stage offers an intimate, purist-leaning room built for extended sets; and the Ridge Stage explores experimental wavelengths with imaginative scenography and installations. Across all three spaces, lighting, mapping, and stage design continue the festival’s reputation for cutting-edge production.
“Caprices has always been about the dialogue between nature, art and music. Moving to Gstaad allows us to elevate that vision even further,” says Maxime Léonard, Co-Founder and CEO of Caprices Festival.

The 2026 edition honors the festival’s tight-knit artistic family by bringing back many of its most influential contributors. Ricardo Villalobos, Luciano—appearing in a special b2b with Dennis Cruz—Sonja Moonear, Sven Väth, DJ Tennis, Jamie Jones, Bedouin, Dan Ghenacia, and Raresh (with RPR Soundsystem) are among the returning icons. Their presence reflects the long-standing relationships that have shaped the festival’s artistic backbone.
Balancing tradition with new energy, Caprices also welcomes a wave of rising headliners making their festival debut. Vintage Culture, Josh Baker, Mau P, Adam Ten, Mita Gami, Alisha, Cincity, Sally C, and Stoffela represent a forward-looking generation pushing electronic music into fresh territory. “We want Caprices to remain ahead of the curve—a meeting point for the artists who built its history and the talents defining its future,” says Kerol Kollom, Head of Talent.
Each of the two weekends brings a distinct musical spirit. From March 13–15, the lineup leans toward precision-driven dance floors with techno, house, and melodic artists including Adam Ten, Cincity, DVS1, Ilario Alicante, Joseph Capriati, Luciano b2b Dennis Cruz, Mind Against, Rossi., Ryan Elliott b2b Quest, Sven Väth, and WhoMadeWho (Hybrid Set).
From March 20–22, the focus widens to house, minimal, afro-influenced rhythms, and deep club textures. Artists include Alisha, B.Love, Bedouin, Cassy b2b Prosumer, Craig Richards b2b Call Super, Dan Ghenacia, DJ Tennis, Francesco Del Garda, Jamie Jones, Mau P, Ricardo Villalobos b2b Sonja Moonear, RPR Soundsystem, Sally C, Shimza, Stoffela, Toman, Traumer, and Vintage Culture. To support its expanded footprint, Caprices offers a broad mix of accommodations throughout the Gstaad region, ranging from five-star hotels to more accessible stays. Curated apartments and chalets via Airbnb and other partners will also be available, giving guests the flexibility to build their ideal alpine weekend.
A region-wide shuttle system connects surrounding villages—including Saanen, Rougemont, Schönried, Saanenmöser, Turbach, Lauenen, and Zweisimmen—directly to the festival and resort, running day and night. Full schedules will be listed on the festival website.
