After more than a decade building records behind the scenes, Grammy and Latin Grammy-winning producer, DJ, and artist Caleb Calloway is putting his own name further into the spotlight with “Kamikaze,” a new tech house single arriving September 24.
Created with acclaimed DJ and producer ACRAZE, the track is designed with one destination in mind: the dance floor. “Kamikaze” launches with a rolling tech house rhythm that immediately establishes its pace before locking into a hypnotic groove. Calloway’s own vocals provide the track’s central hook, adding a catchy, vocal-driven element without taking away from its relentless club energy.
The release represents another chapter in Calloway’s evolution from one of the music industry’s most sought-after producers into an artist and DJ developing an increasingly visible presence of his own.
Calloway’s relationship with house and techno stretches back more than a decade, beginning in the underground scenes of New York and Chicago before expanding internationally. His recent performance history includes appearances at Hï Ibiza, Amnesia Ibiza, Output NYC, Club Space, and Heart Nightclub, along with sets alongside Carl Cox, Jamie Jones, and Chris Liebing. Most recently, he joined Skrillex for a B2B performance.
His festival résumé has expanded just as quickly, with appearances at BPM, We Are FSTVL, Aquasella, EDC Mexico, Sueños, and Lollapalooza Chile. Those performances have helped establish the live side of Calloway’s career as a natural extension of the production work that first made him a recognized name.
His reach has also moved beyond traditional club spaces. Calloway recently released an official gym DJ mix for Apple Music, bringing his high-energy approach to an audience far removed from the typical dancefloor.
But the foundation of Calloway’s career remains his work in the studio. As a multi-award-winning producer and founder of The Wave Music Group, the label home of Young Miko, he has accumulated more than 22 billion streams through production and songwriting credits.
His résumé includes work with some of the biggest names in contemporary Latin and global music, including Bad Bunny, Rauw Alejandro, and Sebastián Yatra. His production credits have appeared on 10 Grammy-nominated albums, including award-winning projects such as Bad Bunny’s El Último Tour del Mundo and Rauw Alejandro’s SATURNO.
That experience has increasingly begun feeding into Calloway’s own dance music identity. Recent releases include “PE$O” with Álvaro Díaz and Cloonee, while his international performance schedule continues to grow alongside his production career.
September has brought another high-profile creative opportunity through a partnership with Bacardi for the 2026 VMAs. As part of the campaign celebrating the return of the Best Dance category, Calloway created Latin-inspired remixes of recognizable tracks including Ricky Martin’s “Livin’ La Vida Loca,” Jennifer Lopez’s “Waiting for Tonight,” and En Vogue’s “Free Your Mind.”
With appearances surrounding Paris Fashion Week and Lollapalooza Chile adding to an increasingly international schedule, Caleb Calloway is entering a new phase of his career. “Kamikaze” continues that transition, putting the producer who has spent years helping shape other artists’ records directly in control of his own dancefloor moment.
