CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso are among the most original and influential acts to emerge from Argentina’s music scene in the past decade. Friends since childhood, they first connected in primary school over a shared love of music—one on guitar, the other on violin. In 2011, they formed Astor, a progressive rock band, and by 2019, they debuted as a duo, merging trap, hip hop, and pop with a bold, unpredictable twist. Early hits like OUKE and JALA JALA established them as defining voices of a new generation.

In 2024, the duo released BAÑO MARÍA, their first full-length album, and made waves with a Tiny Desk Concert for NPR, showcasing a more organic and musically sophisticated side. Later that year, they released the conceptual EP PAPOTA, accompanied by a short film, further expanding their evolving sonic identity.

2025 saw the launch of the PAPOTA Tour, their most ambitious yet, with over 60 shows across four continents. Highlights included performances at Coachella, Lollapalooza, Glastonbury, Roskilde, and Fuji Rock, as well as their U.S. television debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. At Coachella, they delivered one of the festival’s standout performances and joined Gustavo Dudamel and the LA Philharmonic on-stage, creating a widely discussed moment.

PAPOTA earned the duo their first GRAMMY® for Best Latin Rock or Alternative Album and capped 2025 with a historic sweep at the 26th Annual Latin GRAMMY® Awards. With 10 nominations—the most ever for an Argentine project in a single year—they won five major awards: Best Short Form Music Video (#TETAS), Best Long Form Music Video (PAPOTA), Best Pop Song (EL DÍA DEL AMIGO), Best Alternative Music Album (PAPOTA), and Best Alternative Song (#TETAS).

Their work has received acclaim from Rolling Stone en Español, Rolling Stone US, Billboard, Variety, ELLE, Los Angeles Times, Genius, and the Recording Academy. Beyond music, the duo has made a mark in fashion, collaborating with Bershka, attending Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2025 with Yves Saint Laurent, and participating in the Fall/Winter 2025 Haute Couture show with Jean Paul Gaultier.
