Bristol Icon Jody Wisternoff Drops New Single “Sweetest Thing” Ahead of Third Studio Album ‘Welcome To My World’

by Press Release

Jody Wisternoff, a legend of the UK dance music scene, shares his second single, Sweetest Thing, from his upcoming album, Welcome To My World, set to release on December 6 via Anjunadeep. Known for his influential role in Anjunadeep’s chart-topping compilations, Wisternoff has been a staple in electronic music since his teens. Starting as a finalist in the DMC World DJ Championship at just 13, he soon became a fixture in the UK rave scene, performing at iconic venues like Bristol’s Lakota and for legendary promoters like Fantazia and Universe.

A fateful record shop encounter with Nick Warren led to the formation of Way Out West, the duo behind hits like Mindcircus, a UK dance chart-topper, and their acclaimed 1997 self-titled album. Their 2017 Anjunadeep album Tuesday Maybe became a fan favorite, with remixes by electronic heavyweights Guy J and Ben Böhmer.

Following the success of his solo album Nightwhisper, which amassed over 20 million streams, Jody’s music has earned him a devoted following, with support from BBC Radio 1, SiriusXM Chill, and DJs like John Digweed, Eelke Kleijn, and Nora En Pure. His upcoming album, Welcome To My World, promises to capture his deep musical evolution, featuring 14 tracks that showcase his signature style—a fusion of emotive melodies, intricate rhythms, and his iconic breakbeats.

Sweetest Thing delivers a hypnotic mix of percussive grooves, evolving synths, and a poignant spoken-word sample, capturing the refined production that has made Wisternoff a mainstay in the industry. Other standout tracks on the album include Tales From Beyond with Nox Vahn and Natascha Polke, Rain featuring Sian Evans, and Ease Yourself.

In celebration of Welcome To My World, Wisternoff embarks on a global tour spanning 29 dates across North America, the UK, Asia, and Australia, with stops in cities like London, New York, Los Angeles, and Sydney. Tickets are available now.

Stay tuned for the full album release on December 6 and join Jody Wisternoff on a journey through his most personal and musically rich project yet.
