Darkwave innovators Boy Harsher have announced a major North American headline trek this fall, bringing their immersive live experience to cities across the continent on The Heartbreak Tour. The tour begins September 25 in Hudson before making stops in Boston, Montreal, Chicago, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New Orleans, and more, ultimately concluding with a hometown-area performance at Knockdown Center in New York.
Joining Boy Harsher on select dates throughout the tour will be a diverse lineup of support acts, including Choir Boy, Evanora Unlimited, True Blue, and Kassie Krut. Presale tickets become available June 10 at 10 a.m. local time, with general ticket sales launching June 12 at 10 a.m. local time.
Since forming in 2014, Jae Matthews and Augustus Muller have steadily built Boy Harsher into one of the most influential and recognizable acts in modern dark electronic music. Their rise began with the release of the Lesser Man EP, featuring the underground favorite “Pain.” Originally issued as a limited cassette release, the project found an unexpected audience after being uploaded to YouTube by a fan, helping introduce the duo’s haunting sound to a rapidly growing online community.
That momentum continued with the release of 2016’s Yr Body Is Nothing and the Country Girl EP in 2017, laying the foundation for their breakthrough album Careful in 2019. The duo further expanded their creative reach with The Runner in 2022, an ambitious project that combined a full-length album with a companion film that they wrote, produced, and scored themselves.
Over the past decade, Boy Harsher have become synonymous with a distinct blend of darkwave, industrial, EBM, and synth-driven electronic music.
