Rising electronic duo Blood Vision return with their new single “Altered Reality,” out now via HypnoVizion. Marking the pair’s second appearance on the label, the release further explores their affinity for immersive and mind-bending production.
The track unfolds through slow-burning, ethereal builds before plunging into cavernous low-end and intricately textured passages. Anchored by razor-sharp synth design, “Altered Reality” sits comfortably within the hypnotic midtempo electro sound that HypnoVizion has come to champion.
Speaking on the inspiration behind the track, Blood Vision shared:
“‘Altered Reality’ is meant to create a tension in the listener that pulls between two versions of their life—one that is real, and one in which reality is beyond their control. This song was made during a time when this feeling was strong for us, and it’s something we all experience at different points in our lives.”
The project is composed of Brandon Dodds and Sean Jarvis, who first met while studying architecture before channeling their creative instincts into crafting cinematic sound design for the dancefloor. Since launching Blood Vision in 2023, the duo have steadily built momentum within the bass and midtempo scene.
Their music has already earned support from heavyweights including SVDDEN DEATH, Zeds Dead, and REZZ, with their tracks featured in festival sets around the world.
In 2025, Blood Vision made their debut on HypnoVizion with “Arachnophobia,” featured on the label’s Auditory Illusion Vol. 1 compilation. With “Altered Reality,” the duo continue refining their dark, cinematic approach, delivering a track that balances atmospheric tension with heavy, club-ready energy.
