Miami-based duo Black V Neck and live techno-house act SHADED have joined forces for their latest single “Salmon”, featuring Andra G, out now as part of Dirtybird’s Flight Week series.

Flowing with rippling synths and precise, rolling percussion, “Salmon” delivers buoyant energy that keeps the dancefloor engaged from start to finish. The fourth Flight Week release is both tenacious and methodical, capturing the creative spark from the artists’ writing camp. With kinetic, off-kilter production designed for the floor, the track cements Black V Neck and SHADED as key players in the next generation of Dirtybird talent.

Miami natives Black V Neck (Ian & Julian) exemplify Dirtybird’s commitment to nurturing emerging artists. First appearing on Birdfeed in 2018 with “Stop ‘N Go”, the duo progressed to the main label with their Mouth Music EP in 2019. They’ve maintained a consistent presence with 2020’s Bounce EP, the 2021 Campout Compilation, and this year’s “Check My Brain”. “Salmon” marks their second Flight Week release, following “Drip Drop (Handle That)” with Life On Planets.

Los Angeles-based producer SHADED brings a club-focused sound that resonates on underground floors worldwide. With originals and remixes supported by Patrick Topping, Tiga, Loco Dice, and The Martinez Brothers, SHADED has released on John Summit’s Experts Only, Jamie Jones’ Hot Creations, and Desert Hearts. He first appeared on Dirtybird in 2020 with the Holla Atcha Boy EP, highlighted on Dirtybird’s Heavy Heaters compilation in 2022, and returned earlier this year with “Bad Boy”.

Stream “Salmon” now on all platforms and stay updated on future Dirtybird releases, events, and more.
