House music heavyweight BIJOU steps boldly into the next chapter of his career with “Mind Eraser”, his debut release on FISHER’s acclaimed label Catch & Release, arriving August 22. The high-octane single not only marks a milestone studio release but also coincides with BIJOU’s first headline tour in two years, also titled “Mind Eraser.” Together, they signal a powerful relaunch, showcasing a refined house identity and earning a major co-sign from one of the genre’s most recognizable figures.
The track came together under unconventional circumstances, as BIJOU recalls: “Sometimes the best records come together at the last second. I produced the majority of this song in the lounge of the Charlotte airport a day before the session with Datti. I was on my way to LA for a show after playing in the Dominican Republic and needed something new for our session the next day. I had other tunes but knew this was the one she’d really love. Right away she loved it and we wrote the rest of the song over an hour and it was done. Road tested it the next weekend and we knew we had something special on our hands. Big ups to Fish and the team for believing in it, we’re stoked to have it out on Catch & Release!”
With additional singles on the way through Catch & Release, a refreshed visual aesthetic, and a high-energy U.S. tour set to expand with a forthcoming second phase, BIJOU is cementing himself as one of house music’s most dynamic and forward-thinking artists.
