Big Gigantic, the boundary-pushing Colorado duo known for their explosive fusion of funk, jazz, hip-hop, and bass, have dropped the first preview of their highly anticipated new album, FLUORESCENCE. The double-single release—“Move Around” and “Free Spirits” featuring ALIGN—marks a vibrant, high-energy start to a creative phase the duo describes as “all fun, light and positivity.”
“Move Around” delivers a horn-soaked, dancefloor-ready romp built around Dominic Lalli’s signature saxophone riffs and infectious basslines, while “Free Spirits” leans into euphoric, electro-soul territory with uplifting synths, vocal chops, and the kind of dynamic instrumentation that has made Big Gigantic festival mainstays.
“‘Move Around’ is our shout-out to New Orleans bounce and a nod to funky bass music—an infectious invitation for everyone to get loose on the dance floor,” said Lalli.
“‘Free Spirits’ is our new electro-soul anthem, blending soaring horn lines and funky guitar with booming bass and soulful vocals.”
ALIGN, who collaborated with the duo after opening for them at Red Rocks, added:
“After their set, I was inspired by their psychedelic funk energy. I had a beat going that fused hip-hop and funk and felt it would mesh perfectly with Big G’s sound. The collaboration came together naturally, and I’m proud to be part of it.”

The double drop is just the beginning. More singles, visuals, and surprise guests are set to roll out this summer ahead of the full FLUORESCENCE release. While the full album’s tracklist and official release date are still under wraps, the momentum is building.
In true Big Gigantic fashion, the new music comes with a stacked tour slate. The duo will perform two sets at Bonnaroo this June, including a debut performance at the festival’s new 360-degree Infinity Stage and a main set on June 15, giving fans the chance to experience the new material in full surround-sound form.
They’ll also return to Red Rocks Amphitheatre for their flagship event, Rowdytown, on September 27, 2025. Now in its 13th year, Rowdytown 13 promises two unique sets—a “Bring The Funk Back” set and a classic Rowdytown set—plus support from Denver’s own Maddy O’Neal. Expect immersive visuals, special guests, and the kind of community-first atmosphere that has made the event a Colorado institution.
