Bass Coast 2019 | Dropping Hints Like Dropping Beats

by The Freaks - Staff

Was that a hint?!? Bass Coast’s new Instagram post of their logo bubbling in an underwater, deep-sea abyss has got me wondering… What will 2019’s theme be? Over the past few years Bass Coast has pumped out some pretty amazing themes, such as space, prism, and black and gold (still can’t believe I missed that year). Witnessing the creativity and effort that goes into the costumes coinciding with that year’s decor brings a whole new element to the vibe of the festival.

But what does it mean?!? Personally, I’m rooting for an underwater theme. I’m talking under-the-sea goodness! A time to let your inner merfolk fly- uh, swim!

But what is Bass Coast?

Taking place in Merritt, British Columbia, Bass Coast is a staple of the groundbreaking West Coast electronic music scene. A pivotal EDM and arts festival, it’s the ultimate boutique festival experience. Bass Coast showcases Canadian and international talent with past years headliners including brilliant artists such as Alix Perez, Ivy Lab, Ekali, The Funk Hunters, and Greazus. This festival unites individuals of all backgrounds and encourages us to appreciate sound, art, flow, and life.

Founded by the boss babes Liz Thomson and Andrea Graham aka The Librarian, Bass Coast was created by women and is run by women. It encompasses the most beautiful people in a space where individuality is welcomed and celebrated. Quintessential of everything you want in a festival, from unique art installations and unforgettable stages, to exquisite costumes and an array of workshops. I guarantee that Bass Coast is where you want to be July 12-15, 2019.

I know I’m anticipating the theme release almost as much as the official lineup announcement. Tickets are still available, but don’t sleep on it as they sell out quick! For more information visit their website https://basscoast.ca/
