Canadian singer-songwriter Bahamas (Afie Jurvanen) returns to the stage this fall with an extensive North American tour in support of his latest release, My Second Last Album. The Industrial Sport & Sound Tour kicks off September 18th in Victoria, BC at Royal Theatre, before moving through additional Canadian cities and a series of U.S. dates across the Midwest, including Minneapolis, Chicago, and Detroit. The tour returns to Canada for an Ontario run, concluding October 8th at Toronto’s historic Massey Hall, then continues with a 14-date U.S. leg from November 3rd in Seattle to November 21st in Austin, TX, hitting major cities like Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Tucson, Denver, Omaha, Kansas City, and Dallas. Full dates and ticket information are available at bahamasmusic.net. Pre-sales start Wednesday, March 11th at 10am, with general tickets on sale Friday, March 13th at 10am (local times).

The announcement follows My Second Last Album’s recent JUNO Awards nomination for Best Adult Alternative Album of the Year, marking Jurvanen’s tenth career nomination and continuing a streak as a five-time JUNO Award winner. The album, his seventh studio release and follow-up to 2023’s country-leaning Bootcut, has drawn praise for its clarity, emotional directness, and authenticity. Rolling Stone described it as “…genuine… authentic,” while No Depression called it “…one of the two or three best albums I’ve heard this year.”

Jurvanen recorded the album following a Nashville country session, initially questioning whether a loose, indie-pop-leaning record created in a backyard shed fit into his discography. Returning with fresh ears, he recognized the songs captured his life at that moment—balancing family, ocean-side living, and creative freedom—making the album one of the most personal and essential in the Bahamas catalogue.

The album’s lead single, “The Bridge,” featuring M.C. Taylor of Hiss Golden Messenger, has received strong AAA radio support. Written as a text-message exchange, the track’s conversational tone and relaxed groove exemplify the album’s intimate and immediate qualities. Across My Second Last Album, Bahamas explores acoustic-driven folk, country, soul, and indie pop, touching on themes of family life, routine, restlessness, and belonging.

Alongside the album, Bahamas has released several music videos and a web series, One Large Day, documenting creative moments and relaxed East Coast hangouts with fellow songwriter Kathleen Edwards. Videos for singles like “Only Inspiration” and “Ready For A New Thing” further illustrate his approachable, emotionally resonant style.

With over a billion streams worldwide, a Grammy nomination, multiple Gold and Platinum certifications in Canada, and a reputation for warm, engaging live performances, Bahamas continues to connect deeply with audiences, blending humor, spontaneity, and emotional range into every show.
