Born in Staten Island and raised in New Jersey, Anthony Cardinale, better known as Avision, was immersed in New York club culture from a young age. He began producing at just 12 years old, inspired by his musician father and the pulse of the local scene. His 2018 Excess EP on Beardman Records marked a breakout moment, leading to acclaimed releases on top-tier imprints like Ellum Audio, Crosstown Rebels, Blackbook Records, Cod3 QR, and Cocoon.
His debut LP In My Mind received glowing praise from DJ Mag UK, cementing his status as a rising force in electronic music. In parallel, Avision co-founded MATTER+ with cousin and techno heavyweight Victor Calderone, establishing a platform for hard-hitting, high-integrity techno.
Beyond music, Avision runs multiple entrepreneurial ventures under the Ground Rule Collective, spanning hospitality, events, fashion, and art. Whether behind the decks or the scenes, his vision fuses cultural authenticity with creative firepower.
As a performer, Avision brings an old-school ethos to his marathon sets, channeling the legacy of David Morales, Junior Vasquez, and Danny Tenaglia.
