British DJ and production duo Audiojack have returned with a brand-new single, “Rumours,” released as part of Dirtybird’s 20th-anniversary celebrations.
Pulsing with dynamic duality, “Rumours” showcases the signature versatility of the UK-based pair. Built around a sample of Embee & Sandra Isabel’s “Dirty Laundry,” the track fuses soulful vocals and sultry string arrangements with deep, rolling basslines and glitching synth textures. The off-kilter interplay between R&B-inspired melodies and a bass house foundation gives the single both warmth and bite, delivering an undeniable late-night intensity designed to keep dancefloors moving from start to finish.
Formed in 2006, Audiojack consists of York-based Rich and Ibiza-based Jamie, whose wide-ranging sound has earned recognition from DJ Mag and BBC Radio 1. Their music has landed on some of the most respected labels in electronic music, including Defected, Toolroom, Crosstown Rebels, Nothing Else Matters, and Knee Deep In Sound.
In 2022, Audiojack made their Dirtybird debut with the two-track Stay Strong EP. Now, with “Rumours,” the duo return to the label with a follow-up that perfectly embodies Dirtybird’s reputation for forward-thinking, boundary-pushing house music.
