Returning to its new home at Hummingbird Ranch in Spanish Country, Colorado, Sonic Bloom promises to attract wooks from all walks of life.
The 11th annual Sonic Bloom Festival is set to take place from June 20th-23rd and boasts a diverse lineup with names to satisfy everyone. Those of us who live for the weird and wonky extremes within bass music will be most pleased to see
Representing Gravitas Records this year is the progenitor of the space bass movement: The Widdler. If you’re more interested in getting down to some funkier tunes as well, Sonic Bloom also is bringing out Gramatik and Opiuo, two staples of the festival scene for the last few years.
As for all the jam heads out there, Sonic Bloom did not forget about you! This year, lookout for a special set from The New Observatory, a supergroup featuring James Shields (of The New Deal), as well as String Cheese Incident members Michael Harris and Jason Hann. Fans can also look forward to an Emancipator Ensemble set with a full orchestra, something very rare for a festival as small as Sonic Bloom!
Aside from the music, attendees can look forward to dazzling visual arts of all sorts, as well as live performers wandering around the festival grounds. This year, Sonic Bloom will also feature a new green initiative called Permaculture (click Here for more info on how to get involved.) Don’t sleep on tickets! Sonic Bloom 2019 promises to be one for the books!
