Just two days before the launch of his five-show summer residency at Ushuaïa Ibiza, Armin van Buuren has released the highly anticipated tenth installment of his globally acclaimed A State of Trance (ASOT) mix album series. Titled ‘A State of Trance Ibiza 2024 (Mixed by Armin van Buuren)’, this latest edition continues the tradition of capturing the electrifying spirit of Ibiza and delivering it to listeners worldwide.
The three-part mix album is a sonic journey through the diverse soundscape of the White Isle, divided into On The Beach, In The Club, and Who’s Afraid Of 138?!. This structure encapsulates the essence of Ibiza, from its serene shorelines and breathtaking sunsets to its exhilarating nightlife. Featuring forty-two tracks, the album includes contributions from renowned artists such as Agents Of Time, Aly & Fila, David Forbes, Gabry Ponte, Heløwed, Joris Voorn, KI/KI, and Mauro Picotto.
“I’ve been a huge fan of Ibiza for many years, and I know the island inside and out, but I still find new ways to fall in love with it all over again,” says Armin van Buuren. “It’s not just a hotspot for new music, but also a place where people create unforgettable moments and lifelong friendships. Celebrating ten years of Ibiza-themed albums is incredible. There are a lot of new songs on there that I’ve only played in my sets so far. It feels good to get it out right before my residency starts. I hope you love it!”
In addition to the album release, Armin van Buuren announced on his globally syndicated A State of Trance radio show that the iconic festival will return to Rotterdam in 2025 for its 21st edition on Friday, February 21, and Saturday, February 22. Following a groundbreaking two-day debut in Rotterdam last year, van Buuren is bringing A State of Trance back to the city in partnership with Insomniac Europe. The 2025 edition will feature multiple stages, a dynamic lineup of artists, an epic back-to-back five-hour show on Friday, and the fan-favorite A State of Trance Hotel.
Fans can pre-register for ticket sales via astateoftrance.com/register. Pre-sale tickets will go live on September 5 at 11:00 CEST, with regular ticket sales starting at 12:00 CEST on the same day. Information about A State of Trance Hotel prices and packages will be available on the website, with hotel package pre-sales beginning on September 4 at 11:00 CEST and regular sales at 12:00 CEST.
