Renowned DJ, producer, and MicroHertz label boss Archie Hamilton makes a powerful statement on unity and freedom with his debut single for Three Six Zero Recordings, “A Place We Can Be Free,” out today.

Driven by elegant house grooves, ethereal synth layers, and a vintage-flavored bassline rolling over a shuffling breakbeat, the track is both a dancefloor weapon and a celebration of house music’s unifying spirit. It also marks a heartfelt collaboration between Archie Hamilton and Ian Orr, founder of the New York underground party Vigilante, whose evocative spoken word performance elevates the record with emotional resonance.

The idea for the track was sparked during Archie’s DJ set in New York, where he dropped the acapella of Lil’ Louis & The World’s “Club Lonely.” Inspired in the moment, he turned to Ian Orr with the idea for an original spoken word piece that could match the soul of classic house. What followed was a deep and intentional exchange of ideas that culminated in “A Place We Can Be Free”—a tribute to the dancefloor as a sanctuary for inclusion, freedom, and expression.

House music will forever be a place of unity,” the lyrics affirm, cementing the track’s message that the club remains a powerful space for connection, healing, and shared experience.

The single arrives just ahead of Archie Hamilton’s much-anticipated MicroHertz label takeover at 93 Feet East in London on Sunday, May 18—a meaningful return to the venue where Archie once raved before rising to become a staple at FUSE events and one of the most respected names in the house and techno circuit.

With a decade-long career spanning groundbreaking releases, high-profile sets, and festival appearances around the globe—from Sunwaves in Romania to Club Space in Miami—Archie’s sound is known for its hypnotic minimalism, groove-rich textures, and timeless appeal.

2025 is already shaping up to be another landmark year. Following the success of his Rhythm EP on DJ Tennis’s Life & Death Records, which featured the standout track “Blow My Mind,” Archie headlined the PIV Records showcase at Miami Music Week, and is set to perform at UNRVS in Ibiza and dates across Australia in June.

“A Place We Can Be Free” is available now via Three Six Zero Recordings—a soulful anthem designed to move bodies and minds.
