Grossman’s Tavern is thrilled to announce that applications for the Amy Louie Grossman’s Music Scholarship (ALGMS) are now open. Musicians can apply from June 10th through September 23rd, 2024 by submitting their proposals online via the Grossman’s Tavern ALGMS page.
The highly anticipated winners will be unveiled during a special fundraising event on Tuesday, October 8th, 2024, at 7 PM, taking place at Grossman’s Tavern, located at 377 Spadina Ave., Toronto, ON. This celebration will showcase live performances from the scholarship recipients, shining a spotlight on Toronto’s dynamic music community.
Founded in 2012 by the Louie family, owners of Grossman’s Tavern, the Amy Louie Grossman’s Music Scholarship honors the memory of Amy Louie, a beloved family member with a passion for supporting local musicians. The $2,000 CAD scholarship helps emerging artists and bands advance their musical careers in honor of her vision.
Musicians or bands interested in applying should submit a proposal detailing how they plan to use the scholarship funds. All applications must be submitted by Monday, September 23rd, 2024.
