Anjunachill: A New Era for Anjuna’s Chillout Legacy

by Press Release

The dawn of 2025 marks a transformative chapter for Anjuna HQ as they celebrate their 25th anniversary with the official rebranding of their chillout label, now known as Anjunachill. Formerly Reflections, this third frontline imprint joins Anjunabeats and Anjunadeep, housing the group’s catalog of ambient, downtempo, and chillout music.

The rebrand is part of a larger identity refresh for the Anjuna label family. At the heart of this new chapter is the bespoke typeface ‘Decima Sans’ and the iconic ‘Anjuna A’, symbolizing a blend of Anjuna’s rich heritage with a forward-looking design ethos.

Anjunachill builds on a history deeply intertwined with the Anjuna brand, stemming from Above & Beyond’s transformative 2014 sunset yoga set at Burning Man’s Robot Heart stage, which inspired their yoga and meditation album, ‘Flow State.’ Since then, the chillout genre has become a defining thread within the Anjuna narrative.

The label officially launched as Reflections in 2022, quickly establishing itself as a tastemaker in the ambient and downtempo music scene. Over three years, it released over 250 recordings from more than 70 artists, amassing 150 million streams and hosting standout showcases at Glastonbury and ADE. Albums by artists like Mark Barrott, Cephas Azariah, Yotto, and Croquet Club received praise from outlets such as Pitchfork, Resident Advisor, and BBC Radio 6 Music.

Anjunachill now proudly carries that legacy forward, with a focus on championing emerging talent and exploring the emotive and melodic corners of electronic music. Its artist priorities for 2025 include Cephas Azariah, Mark Barrott, and the newly introduced Planet of Souls, the downtempo alias of prolific producer Paul Rogers and sound designer Tom Barlow. Joining the roster are familiar faces from Anjunadeep and Anjunabeats like Luttrell, Steven Weston, and PROFF, alongside new talents like Ad Harmonium and Toutounji.

The rebrand’s first release, ‘Shall We Begin’ by Above & Beyond, debuted on January 14. The poignant three-minute downtempo piece, previewed at ABGT600 in Mexico City and during the 500th episode of the Anjunadeep Edition, echoes the sweeping soundscapes of the ‘Flow State’ album. The track serves as the perfect introduction to Anjunachill, capturing the label’s ethos of reflection and emotion.

Fans can expect an exciting year ahead as Anjunachill continues its mission of crafting immersive sonic experiences. ‘Shall We Begin’ is now available worldwide, ushering in a bright future for Above & Beyond and the Anjuna label family.
