With a signature blend of melodic house and deep storytelling, Marcus Schossow and Thomas Sagstad, known as anamē, embark on a new chapter with their highly anticipated sophomore album, “Hopes & Fears.” The album is set for release on February 21, 2025, via Anjunabeats and showcases the duo’s evolving artistry through powerful collaborations and deeply personal songwriting.

Following their 2023 debut album, “Beautiful World,” which captivated listeners with its immersive soundscapes, anamē continues to refine their craft, weaving together poignant lyrics, emotive sound design, and soaring melodies. Their latest offering is a raw and honest reflection of their personal journey, touching on themes of hope, uncertainty, and connection.

A Star-Studded Lineup of Collaborators

Staying true to their roots, anamē embraces Scandinavian talent throughout the album. Danish pop powerhouse Lydmor takes center stage on four tracks, including the heartfelt single “Hero”, a moving story of unreciprocated love. Norwegian singer-songwriter Moyka joins forces with the duo on a rework of her 2019 hit “Colder,” while Swedish artist Welt lends her delicate vocals to “It Can Be Better Now,” a track that quickly became a #1 record on SiriusXM Chill.

Longtime fans will be thrilled to see Bien reunite with anamē for their third collaboration, “Happy To Be Alive.” Their 2021 breakout hit “The Best Part” recently surpassed 100 million streams, and this new track continues their signature blend of uplifting melodies and sun-soaked vibes. Additional vocalists include Biishop, Bri Zoli, and PEARL, all of whom bring their unique artistry to the project.

Giving Back Through Music

More than just an album, “Hopes & Fears” is a statement of purpose. As part of their commitment to mental health awareness, anamē will donate 5% of all revenue from sales and streams to Mental Helse Ungdom, a Norwegian organization dedicated to supporting young people’s mental health. Beyond financial contributions, the duo is launching a rolling fundraiser to expand their impact across borders.

“Music has always been about more than sound—it brings people together,” says anamē. “No one should feel like they’re alone in this. Hope starts here.”
