Bass music producer AHEE is set to return with his most ambitious project in the Bass Quest series yet. Arriving October 30 through his own label, Zot Records, Bass Quest Vol. III features 15 tracks that move through disco house, trap, dubstep, breakbeat, drum and bass, UK garage, and experimental bass music. Connected by his distinctive sound design and psychedelic approach to production, the album takes listeners on a journey through the stranger corners of his musical universe.

While Bass Quest Vol. II emphasized collaborations with artists including SubDocta, WonkyWilla, Stylust, SoDown, Manic Focus, and Dirtwire, the third installment puts AHEE‘s individual creative vision at the forefront. Rather than settling into a single style, the project shifts between contrasting tempos, textures, and moods, creating a constantly evolving listening experience that reflects the producer’s versatility.

The journey begins with “Muse Sick,” an upbeat disco-house opener that establishes an energetic starting point before the album moves into heavier territory. “Something Nasty” introduces a bass-driven sound, while “Galactic Gas” slows things down with a trap-inspired approach. The momentum builds again on “Cosmic Club,” a roaring midtempo track, before “Owl Party” brings a Halloween-ready atmosphere through spooky owl sounds, hypnotic synths, and repetitive bass rhythms.

From there, Bass Quest Vol. III pushes further into high-energy territory. “Wiggle Master 3000” delivers a fast-paced, breakbeat-driven experience, setting up “Rude Rhythm,” where glitch-heavy bass collides with drum and bass, UK garage, and siren sounds reminiscent of Kill Bill. “Hot Potato” then returns to AHEE‘s dubstep roots, providing a direct hit of heavy bass amid the album’s more experimental detours.

The second half ventures into darker, more psychedelic territory. “Frog Medicine” incorporates ferocious frog sounds and croaks into late-night bass rhythms, while the thought-provoking interlude “The Umbra” introduces eerie vocals and shifts the atmosphere. “Swamp Monster” blends ancient-inspired percussion and flutes with bass influenced by ecstatic dance, creating another unexpected turn in the album’s progression.

“Snake Oil” takes the sound into futuristic territory, pairing alien-inspired sound design with female vocals before evolving into a melodic dubstep track characteristic of AHEE‘s style. The final two tracks bring the journey toward a more reflective conclusion. “Shadow Self” leads into “The Embrace,” an inspirational closing track centered on accepting the darker parts of ourselves and finding balance between light and shadow. Together, the closing songs give the project a sense of resolution after its extended exploration of experimental bass sounds.

The album arrives during a particularly active year for AHEE, who has continued to expand his presence across the live electronic music circuit. His recent schedule has included a headline tour spanning more than 25 dates, direct support for Liquid Stranger at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, and a back-to-back performance with Liquid Stranger at EDC Las Vegas.

His fall run has continued with an appearance at Wakaan Music Festival, where he performed a back-to-back set with Liquid Stranger during the official pre-party before returning for a closing headline performance on the main stage. Additional dates include Hulaween, Freaky Deaky, and a year-end headline show at Mission Ballroom in Denver.

With Bass Quest Vol. III, AHEE continues to build on a sound that thrives on experimentation, unexpected transitions, and playful psychedelic production. Across its 15 tracks, the album moves from dancefloor-ready grooves to aggressive bass and more introspective melodic passages, placing his own creative identity at the center of the experience. As his touring schedule continues to grow, the project offers another look into the evolving world of AHEE and the many directions his bass music can take.
