Tel Aviv-based Adam Ten and Liverpool’s own Bontan have joined forces for their latest single, Hey, out now via Insomniac Records. The track is a deep, percussive-driven tribal anthem, showcasing a rich blend of vibrant djembe rhythms, shaker patterns, and buzzing synths, all underscored by a contemporary hip-hop hook sung in a West African dialect.
Adam Ten, recognized as one of the top up-and-coming talents in the underground house scene, was named a ‘One To Watch’ in 2024 by Pete Tong, and has already made waves with performances at iconic events like EDC Mexico, Burning Man, Coachella, and Circoloco Ibiza. His genre-defying style is shaped by his diverse cultural influences and psychedelic elements, which he seamlessly integrates into his unique approach to house music.
Bontan, a staple of the UK house scene, has been praised for his influential club tracks over the past decade. His impressive career has earned him accolades such as Radio 1’s ‘Future Star’ and ‘Best Newcomer’ at the DJ Awards. With upcoming shows at Space Miami, Shelter Amsterdam, and The Warehouse Project Manchester, Bontan continues to shape the landscape of house music. He will also be featured on an Essential Mix airing on November 30th.
Reflecting on their collaboration, Bontan shares, “I feel that ‘Hey’ is a perfect blend of us, with a tribal groove. I met Adam in Miami when we played Space the same night. After hearing him live, I felt like a fusion of our sounds would make something special. We connected afterward, and after a few months of sending ideas back and forth, we got there.”
With its rich tribal vibes and hypnotic rhythms, Hey is poised to be a standout track in both artists’ impressive catalogs.
