As the release week for Above & Beyond’s long-awaited album Bigger Than All Of Us ramps up, the iconic trio join Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1 for a candid and introspective conversation. Dropping this Friday, July 18, the new album marks a reflective chapter in the band’s 25-year journey—one grounded in community, vulnerability, and the unifying power of music.

During the interview, Tony McGuinness unpacks the layered meaning behind the album’s title. “I think it’s one of those titles that can be interpreted,” he shares. “The song itself paints a world where we’re all interconnected and everything we do affects everybody else.” He continues, “The other main interpretation of the title was the community that we’ve created. We’ve always been fan-focused. From running the biggest trance forum in dance music to today’s global ‘Anjunafamily,’ our audience has grown into something truly bigger than all of us.”

Known for his compelling conversations with artists like Billie Eilish, Kendrick Lamar, and Paul McCartney, Zane Lowe brings out the deeper emotional context of the trio’s work. The full interview delves into themes of mental health, burnout, creative resilience, and the connection that has kept Above & Beyond grounded since their formation.

Available to stream on demand via Apple Music, and viewable in full on YouTube, the interview is a must-watch for longtime fans and new listeners alike—highlighting both the band’s storied legacy and the emotional resonance of their newest work. Ahead of the album’s full drop, Above & Beyond tease what’s to come with their latest single “Letting Go”, a haunting and soulful collaboration with German singer-songwriter Malou.

“This track offers a different flavour than the rest of the album,” says Jono Grant. “Malou’s vocal brings real intimacy. The jazz-influenced harmony gave us room to explore a more soulful side, and I loved weaving in some classic Above & Beyond piano to tie it all together.”

Already familiar to the Anjunadeep audience through her work with Ben Böhmer, Nils Hoffman, and Rezident, Malou brings a fresh yet familiar energy to the track. “Letting Go is an incredibly special song to me,” she says. “This is a real piece of art where I expressed myself—not only with the words and melodies but also through the production for the first time.”

“Letting Go” is out now on Anjunabeats, while Bigger Than All Of Us releases worldwide on Friday, July 18. Stay tuned for a limited-edition vinyl release and forthcoming tour announcements as Above & Beyond enter their next era with intention, emotion, and connection at the core.
