Arky Waters Pushes Into Controlled Chaos On New Single ‘Just’

Rising electronic producer and DJ Arky Waters continues his rapid ascent toward his debut album with the release of his most experimental single yet, “Just,” out ahead of the project’s arrival on July 2, 2026.

Following a string of club-focused releases including “Run It Up” and “OMG,” Arky Waters shifts gears on “Just,” embracing a more fragmented and intentionally unpredictable approach. The single marks a clear departure from polished dancefloor structures, instead leaning into a high-tension sound built on disruption, irregularity, and controlled sonic instability.

“Just” unfolds as a study in organized chaos. Rather than relying on conventional tech-house or breakbeat frameworks, the track is driven by skewed rhythmic placement, with snares landing in unexpected patterns and vocal chops deliberately pushed off-grid. The result is a soundscape that feels constantly unsettled yet meticulously constructed, reflecting a growing confidence in experimental composition and club deconstruction.

Speaking on the track, Arky Waters explained: “I wanted to make an experimental track for the album – something that felt intense and chaotic. I was just throwing snares in random places and chopping vocals up out of time. I feel like a lot of the time in electronic music you can feel tempted to make things really formulaic and groovy and I wanted to break out of that. It’s definitely a direction I’ll be running with moving forward.”

The single represents a key moment in the lead-up to his debut full-length project, signaling an artist in transition. While earlier comparisons have linked his sound to the textured intensity of Bicep and Overmono, “Just” pushes further into abstraction, carving out a more individual identity rooted in tension and unpredictability.

Blending UK-influenced club sensibilities with a raw, forward-thinking production style, Arky Waters positions himself as part of a new wave of producers expanding the language of contemporary electronic music. “Just” stands as both a creative rupture and a clear statement of intent ahead of his debut album.
