Apple Music has officially announced Club Live, a new live broadcast series streaming exclusively through Apple Music Club, the platform’s dedicated radio home for dance and electronic music. Designed to bring listeners directly onto some of the world’s most culturally influential dancefloors in real time, the series marks a major expansion of Apple Music’s growing investment in electronic music culture and live DJ performance.
The series launches Friday, May 15, with a massive debut broadcast from EDC Las Vegas, one of the world’s largest electronic music festivals. Apple Music Club Radio will livestream the event daily from 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. PT, capturing performances, crowd energy, and the atmosphere of the festival as it unfolds. The stream will also be simulcast through Insomniac Radio, further extending the broadcast’s reach across global dance music audiences.
Following the live broadcasts, Apple Music will replay sets from the previous day between 5:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. PT, while select performances will become available on demand in spatial audio. Archival sets from past editions of EDC Las Vegas are already accessible through the festival’s dedicated curator page on the platform, signaling the company’s larger ambitions to build a long-term digital archive for dance music performance culture.
Looking ahead, Club Live plans to expand beyond festivals into clubs, independent events, and exclusive broadcasts from Apple Music’s own studio spaces. Future editions will spotlight the full spectrum of global electronic music culture, ranging from underground club communities to the genre’s largest international stages.
A major component of the initiative lies in its approach to licensing and artist compensation. By building on the infrastructure behind Apple Music’s existing DJ Mix program — supported in part through Shazam’s music identification technology — the platform has developed a system capable of clearing, tracking, and monetizing DJ performances at scale. The goal is to remove many of the traditional licensing limitations that have historically complicated live-streamed DJ sets while ensuring rights holders are compensated properly.
The initiative also positions Apple Music as one of the few major streaming platforms actively attempting to preserve live dance music culture in an official archival format, creating a sustainable ecosystem where artists, festivals, clubs, and labels can all participate.

The series reflects the increasingly global nature of dance music culture, where livestreams and digital platforms now play a central role in connecting local scenes to worldwide audiences. By focusing equally on established icons and emerging artists, Club Live aims to document the evolving state of electronic music while giving fans unprecedented access to performances that would otherwise exist only in the moment.
With additional artist announcements, festivals, and club partnerships expected in the coming months, Apple Music’s Club Live initiative is positioning itself as both a live broadcast platform and a growing digital archive for contemporary dance music culture.
