“Loaded Gun” leans into a groove-heavy tech-house framework, driven by commanding electroclash-style vocals and a fierce, kinetic energy. The production unfolds through rubbery basslines, sharp percussion, and rattling melodic details, while buzzing synths cut through the mix with relentless intensity. It’s a track engineered for peak-time moments, balancing underground grit with anthemic force.
“I wanted to create a peak-time house record that feels like a statement from the first drop. It’s been the intro in my sets, and it commands the room instantly,” said CID. “’Loaded Gun’ sets the tone for the year. I’ve got a loaded clip of new music on deck, and I’m locked in. I’m here to stay. It also marks my return to Insomniac Records, which makes it even more meaningful.”
The release marks a full-circle moment following CID’s 2022 debut on the label with “La La La” and “Hold Me Close,” which collectively amassed millions of streams and received radio support from BBC Radio 1, SiriusXM, SLAM!, KCRW, Kiss FM AUS, Radio Metro, and Sunshine Live. The tracks also found their way into sets and shows from artists including Diplo, LP Giobbi, Afrojack, Oliver Heldens, Tiësto, MK, and Dombresky.
Across his catalog—including releases on his own Night Service label—CID has secured multiple No. 1 club records, earning consistent support from global tastemakers such as Solomun, John Summit, and Dom Dolla.
Currently, CID is in the midst of his 25+ date No Introduction Tour, with the majority of stops already sold out.
