Belle and Chain, the Los Angeles-based rock project led by Spencer Grammer, have announced a North American spring tour in support of British singer-songwriter Barns Courtney. The 24-date run kicks off April 1 in Dallas and travels across the U.S. and Canada, ultimately closing in the band’s hometown of Los Angeles on May 3.
Blending Western-tinged rock with haunting folk and nostalgic Americana, Belle and Chain craft a sound rooted in atmosphere and emotional depth. Their music is defined by shimmering textures, breathy vocals, and restrained, introspective lyricism—striking a balance between cinematic storytelling and raw vulnerability.
The project began as a solo outlet for Spencer Grammer, known widely for her work as an actor, filmmaker, and the voice of Summer Smith on Adult Swim’s Rick and Morty. Over time, it has evolved into a full-fledged band alongside multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Davis IL, forming a collaborative partnership at the heart of the project’s creative direction.
Raised between New York City and Los Angeles in a deeply artistic household—her father a celebrated television actor and her mother a Broadway dancer—Grammer was immersed in performance from an early age. While she built a successful career on screen and behind the camera, music took on a new level of importance following a life-altering event in 2020.
After surviving a violent attack that left her with severe injuries to her right forearm, including nerve and tendon damage, Grammer turned to music as part of her recovery. Encouraged to learn guitar during rehabilitation, she began writing songs in 2024, discovering a powerful outlet for processing trauma and rebuilding both physical and emotional strength.

Since then, Belle and Chain has grown into a deeply personal yet collaborative project. “I believe two brains are better than one and collaboration is when the greatest work is created,” Grammer explains, highlighting the creative synergy she shares with Davis IL.
The band will further introduce their sound with the release of their debut single, “Don’t You Worry Babe,” arriving April 9 via Notes From The Underground and Not Dead Yet Media. With a tour alongside Barns Courtney and their first official release on the horizon, Belle and Chain are poised to step into a defining new chapter. The single is available now to pre-save.
