As the global dance music scene shifts its focus toward Ultra Music Festival in Miami, where he is set to perform on March 29, GRAMMY-nominated producer ZHU has released “LEVELZZZ,” the latest single from his forthcoming album BLACK MIDAS.
“‘LEVELZZZ’ is for all my clubbers, ravers, and late-night creatures who need energy to keep going,” says ZHU. Featuring contributions from GCBestBelieve and HNTR, the track delivers exactly that—layered intensity that builds with precision, designed for peak-time dancefloors.
Set for full release on April 24, BLACK MIDAS sees ZHU crafting an immersive, late-night sonic world shaped by the sounds, emotions, and experiences encountered throughout his global journey. The project spans deep house to melodic techno, following earlier singles like “BLACK MIDAS” and “BURN,” which featured Joyia.
The collaboration with GCBestBelieve came through a direct and personal route, after the South African artist submitted music via ZHU’s BLACKLIZT platform on Instagram. Reflecting on the moment, GCBestBelieve shared how discovering ZHU’s music in 2014 shaped his artistic path, making the collaboration feel like a full-circle breakthrough.
Following renewed attention on his breakout hit “Faded,” which was recently remixed by HNTR, ZHU spent 2025 deepening his connection to the global dance community. His performances included sets alongside deadmau5 at Coachella’s Quasar Stage, appearances with Mathame in Bogotá, and shows at Brooklyn Storehouse in New York City, Lighting in a Bottle, and Drumsheds in London. He also shared stages with Paul Kalkbrenner and Mahmut Orhan, while headlining venues like VW Arena in Istanbul.
Looking ahead, ZHU will continue supporting BLACK MIDAS with major festival appearances at Rabbits Eat Lettuce Festival in Queensland and Tomorrowland in Belgium, further building anticipation for one of his most expansive projects to date.
