Sacha Robotti unveils a new chapter from his forthcoming debut album I, Robotti with the single “Words”, a standout collaboration with alternative rock icon Perry Farrell, out now via Dirtybird.

Anchored by Farrell’s evocative refrain, “Sometimes… words get in the way,” “Words” explores the unspoken emotions that often shape human connection. Farrell’s raw yet ethereal vocals intertwine with Robotti’s bass-driven production, moving fluidly between melodic techno and tech house while reflecting his European roots. The track balances dancefloor energy with reflective intensity, creating a record that resonates both on and off the floor.

“Immediately I could hear myself singing ‘Words’ for the rest of my life,” says Perry Farrell, emphasizing the lasting impact of the collaboration.

“Words” continues the narrative of I, Robotti, following earlier singles including “Whistle Man” with Felix and Eric D. Clark, “Manifest” with SYREETA, “All Night” with Sian and JOPLYN, “The Flood” with Blakkat, and “Say It” with Victoria Rawlins. The single underscores the album’s focus on connection, escapism, and the power of music to communicate what language cannot.

From Berlin to San Francisco, Sacha Robotti has built a reputation at the forefront of underground dance music, spanning solo releases, his Slothacid imprint, and work as half of Third Culture. His collaboration with Dirtybird dates back to 2014 and includes highlights like Loca Lola, Melato Nina, and 2024’s “Roll With Me”. He also headlined the inaugural Back To Baysics at San Francisco’s Embarcadero Plaza.

With a career spanning over three decades, Perry Farrell remains a boundary-pushing force in music, bridging rock and electronic culture through his work with Jane’s Addiction and as founder of Lollapalooza. On “Words”, his philosophy shines: sometimes, what is left unsaid carries the most weight.

Sacha Robotti and Perry Farrell’s new single Words is available on all platforms now.
