From January 22 to 25, 2026, Groove Cruise, the flagship event from Whet Travel, set sail from Miami aboard Royal Caribbean’s Wonder of the Seas, bringing 2,867 captains on a 96-hour, 13-stage marathon of non-stop music, connection, and once-in-a-lifetime experiences. More than just a festival at sea, Groove Cruise fosters a unique environment where attendees can express themselves freely, challenge their limits, and immerse in transformative moments of music and community.
Thursday, January 22 – Represent / Crowns & Corsets
Captains began their journey exploring the ship and its 13 stages, kicking off with a Gorgon City Sail Away Party at the Aquatheater. Highlights included Chris Lorenzo’s Groove Cruise debut in Studio B, a rare dubstep set by DJ Susan, Airrica’s sunrise set, and the cruise’s first-ever baby gender reveal—proving anything is possible onboard.
Friday, January 23 – Food Fetish / Down the Rabbit Hole
The first full day offered an expansive lineup of activities and performances. Gene Farris’s Sunrise Marathon set energized the pool decks, while captains explored experiences like sushi making with Blanke, wine tasting with Amy Wiles and Jackie Hollander, and artist panels hosted by When The Music Stops and Neon Owl. Musical highlights included Jason Ross b2b Trivecta at the Aquatheater, Ryan Key of Yellowcard performing emo classics, and late-night sets from The Sponges, Deepfake, Christoph, and Deeper Purpose, extending well into the sunrise hours.
Saturday, January 24 – Turquoise Temptation / Midnight Seduction
Destination day in Nassau brought excursions from swimming with dolphins or pigs to beach adventures. Headliner John Summit performed at the Nassau amphitheater with a full-production set including fireworks and debuted his upcoming single “Lights Go Out.” Back onboard, DaRude energized the crowd with a Sandstorm set, Markus Schulz b2b Dave Dresden thrilled fans in Studio B, and a four-way b2b featuring Cloonee, Ranger Trucco, Max Styler, and Gorgon City carried the party into the early morning.
Sunday, January 25 – Animal Instincts / Shimmerverse
The final full day continued with immersive experiences including the Deep House Brunch, Demo Listening Party from Neon Owl, The Groove Effect Talk by Jason Beukema, and a HIIT workout with Blossom. Musical highlights featured a rare acoustic set from Ryan Key, DJ takeovers by Lovers Club, and the epic closing performances by Cloonee (including a meet-up with all onboard “Stephanies”) and Layton Giordani at the Aquatheater, ending the cruise on a high note.
Giving Back at Sea – Whet Foundation Destination Donation Initiative
Groove Cruise 2026 extended its impact through the Whet Foundation, partnering with Ranfurly Homes for Children and the Boys & Girls Club of The Bahamas. Captains contributed donations of clothing, school supplies, and essential resources while engaging directly with children through games, conversations, and activities—turning celebration into meaningful community impact and embodying the Groove Effect’s Wave 6: Embrace & Elevate.
