Today, Los Angeles-based artist Forest releases her new single Prosthetic Stars, available everywhere now. The track blends stadium-ready riffs with bright, soaring synths beneath Forest’s emotive vocals, creating an expansive, emotionally charged sound that swells with intensity rather than explodes. Anchored by driving drums, the song conveys a sense of desire and discomfort, capturing the urgency of its narrative.

Prosthetic Stars was one of the first real songs I wrote when I moved to Los Angeles,” Forest shares. “At the time, I was fresh off my party months and wanted more. I realized the person I was seeing was just a different type of distraction. There’s no way I could have found love in another person. It’s about throwing yourself into things that don’t mean much, jumping in, and then wondering why you’re treading water.”

In early 2025, Forest released the four-track EP Intravenous French Kiss, featuring the fan favorite “Braid Your Hair.” The project showcased emo-tinged guitars, reflective vulnerability, and whispery yet commanding vocals, cementing her reputation for pushing the boundaries of her sound.

Known for her unforgettable live presence, Forest has shared the stage with Starcrawler, Chokecherry, Empty Shell Casing, and others. She kicked off 2026 with a performance at the sold-out emo revival festival BurnDown in Santa Ana, CA, and later this month will embark on an expansive North American tour alongside LA trio Clarion.

Prosthetic Stars is available now across all streaming platforms.
