After marking its 15th anniversary in 2025 with widespread critical praise, Governors Ball is officially back with the reveal of its highly anticipated 2026 lineup. New York City’s flagship music festival will return to Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens from June 5–7, once again aligning with New York Music Month and kicking off the city’s summer concert season in signature fashion.
Leading the 2026 bill are Lorde, who last appeared at Gov Ball in 2017 and now steps into a headlining role for the first time; global K-pop phenomenon Stray Kids, whose high-octane performances have sold out stadiums worldwide; and Harlem’s own A$AP Rocky, returning as a headliner. The stacked lineup also features Baby Keem, Kali Uchis, JENNIE, KATSEYE, Geese, Major Lazer, Pierce The Veil, Dominic Fike, Blood Orange, Clipse, Mariah The Scientist, Wet Leg, Amyl and The Sniffers, Freddie Gibbs & The Alchemist, The Dare, 2hollis, Ravyn Lenae, and dozens more, totaling over 60 artists across three stages.
Staying true to its roots, Governors Ball 2026 places a strong spotlight on New York City–based talent. From established acts like Geese, The Dare, Del Water Gap, Arcy Drive, and Lexa Gates, to rising hometown favorites The Backfires and Chanpan, the lineup underscores the festival’s ongoing commitment to the city’s thriving music ecosystem. The inclusion of School of Rock Queens, School of Rock New York, and Kids Rock for Kids further reinforces Gov Ball’s dedication to nurturing future generations of artists.
Fans can register now for the SMS Presale, taking place Thursday, January 8 from 10–11am ET—the only guaranteed way to secure tickets at the lowest price before public pricing increases at 11am ET. Physical wristbands will return in 2026, alongside a full slate of ticket options including GA, GA+, VIP, PIT Viewing, and Cabanas, available as both 1-Day and 3-Day passes. PIT Viewing offers an exclusive viewing area directly in front of VIP sections at all three stages, delivering the best sightlines on the field.

Layaway plans are available across all ticket types starting at $25 down for a $319 3-Day GA pass, and residents of select Queens zip codes (11368, 11355, 11375, 11367) are eligible for a 15% local discount. Full ticket details and amenities can be found at GovBall.com.
Beyond the music, Queens’ world-class food culture will once again take center stage, with a curated selection of local vendors and gourmet offerings, alongside an updated beverage program designed for peak summer heat. Festivalgoers can also expect immersive fan activations, photo-ready installations, and additional programming announcements in the weeks ahead.
For 2026, Spotify and Governors Ball are launching a first-of-its-kind in-app experience, allowing fans to explore a personalized Festival Persona based on their listening habits. The feature highlights artist overlap with the Gov Ball lineup and generates a custom playlist to help fans discover new favorites before arriving at the park.
The Gov Ball Gives Back initiative continues its work with local and national partners including Alliance for Flushing Meadows Corona Park, Chhaya CDC, Elmhurst Corona Resource Collaborative (ECRC), Headcount, This Must be The Place, and Be The Match: National Marrow Donor Program. Festival contributions include capital improvements to Flushing Meadows–Corona Park, sustainability programs such as reusable cups, composting, recycling incentives, free water stations, and volunteer-led community projects supporting the surrounding neighborhood.

As Rolling Stone once described it, this “idyllic early-summer weekend in Flushing Meadows Corona Park remains the gold standard for an East Coast music festival,” while GQ calls it “one of the signature events of New York City summer.” With a genre-spanning lineup, deep community ties, and a renewed focus on personalization and sustainability, Governors Ball 2026 is poised to deliver another defining chapter in the festival’s legacy.
