French-born, Amsterdam-based techno producer Sina XX has unveiled the first look at his forthcoming album Let There Be Light, beginning with the release of its title track on November 28 via his own imprint subtyl.
The single is a dark, tightly wound piece of techno that thrives on tension and restraint. Built on dub-soaked stabs and shadowy, atmospheric textures, “Let There Be Light” channels the stark spirit of early Berlin techno while maintaining a modern, minimalist pulse. Its slow, deliberate rise reveals how subtle orchestration can be more powerful than sheer intensity, offering a refined approach that mirrors the emotional depth of the project to come.
Over the past decade, Sina XX has become a key voice in the global underground. Known for championing safe, liberating dance spaces, his music invites listeners to shed inhibition and reconnect with something primal. His early work—produced between Tehran and Beirut—introduced a sound shaped by cross-cultural influence, later expanded through collaborations with visual artist Mohamed Bourouissa and releases on respected labels like Bpitch and umay. His imprint subtyl, along with his illegal party series and the collaborative-focused label Body to Body, reflect his commitment to diversity, experimentation, and the communal backbone of techno culture.
The upcoming album Let There Be Light digs into themes of faith, resistance, and artistic integrity—ideas that have guided Sina XX throughout his career. The project arrives as a response to an industry increasingly driven by spectacle rather than cultural purpose, reaffirming techno’s roots as a movement grounded in expression, defiance, and collective experience. Rather than leaning into dystopian aesthetics, the album seeks illumination, offering a reminder of the genre’s potential to inspire change and introspection.
“Let There Be Light” offers the first glimpse into the vision behind the album, showcasing a sound that is both refined and radical. The full project is set for release in January 2026, with the single now available on all streaming platforms.
