Brussels-based collective TUKAN are set to release their highly anticipated new single “Layover” on September 12, 2025, marking another milestone in their evolving journey through live electronic music. The track arrives on the heels of their acclaimed sophomore album Human Drift, released earlier this year, which firmly positioned TUKAN among the most exciting and dynamic acts on today’s global stage.
A pulsing blend of deep bass lines, luminous synth textures, and sharp melodies, “Layover” captures the band’s signature fusion of organic energy and electronic sophistication. Born on the road during the Human Drift European Tour, the single channels the electric synergy between stage and audience into a powerful, atmospheric anthem.
“Layover was born from that experience: a track designed as the soundtrack to those nights when the stage and the crowd merge into one,” the band shared.
The group’s second full-length record, Human Drift, arrived in January 2025, celebrated with a sold-out 90-minute show at Ancienne Belgique in Brussels. The performance, complete with hypnotic visuals and transcendent musicianship, reinforced TUKAN’s reputation as one of Europe’s most captivating live electronic collectives.
The release of “Layover” also kicks off TUKAN’s North American tour this fall, expanding their international presence and introducing their dynamic sound to new audiences across the continent.
Formed when Nathan, Andrea, and Samuel met at Antwerp’s Jazz Studio, the group solidified its lineup with drummer Alexandre in 2023. Since then, they have delivered a self-titled debut EP (2021), their first full-length Atoll (2022), its remix edition Atoll Extended (2023), and over 150 live performances worldwide. With every milestone, TUKAN continue to refine their ethos of unity, collaboration, and the transformative power of live connection.
