Amsterdam’s rising star Laura van Dam teams up with melodic techno powerhouse Q.U.A.K.E for their captivating new collaboration, “Holding On,” set for release on July 25 via Dreamstate Records. The track is an emotionally rich, progressive trance anthem that blends euphoric energy with atmospheric depth—firmly establishing both artists as forces shaping the future of melodic dance music.

Continuing her upward momentum through the progressive and deep house scenes, Laura van Dam brings her studio precision and mainstage energy to “Holding On,” where she joins forces with Q.U.A.K.E, a producer known for shaking the underground with layered, hypnotic productions. Built around soaring leads, cascading synth stabs, and a relentless, galloping rhythm, the track unfolds with cinematic beauty—driven by a call-and-response melody and a dramatic, ambient-laced breakdown. Organ chords and starlit arpeggios elevate the emotion, offering a moment of stillness before surging back into high-energy territory.

‘Holding On’ is the perfect blend of emotion and energy,” shares Laura van Dam. “It’s a progressive trance track that truly captures what Q.U.A.K.E and I love about the genre. We poured our hearts into this one.”

Already earning crowd-favorite status, “Holding On” has made appearances at some of the world’s most iconic stages. Laura van Dam has been rinsing the ID across global dancefloors—from EDC Las Vegas and Sunrise Festival Argentina, to Beats for Love, Ushuaïa, Storm Festival China, and Radius Chicago—each time drawing a deeper connection with fans through its dynamic blend of melody and intensity.

With a background in Electronic Music Production and Audio Engineering from the SAE Institute Amsterdam, Laura van Dam has taken a technical, studied approach to her rise through the melodic dance ranks. Recently dubbed ‘The Future of Dance’ by 1001Tracklists, she’s collaborated with heavyweights including Sander van Doorn, KhoMha, David Tort, and Ginchy, while earning praise from genre titans such as Armin van Buuren, Eelke Kleijn, Dom Dolla, Above & Beyond, Tiësto, Andrew Rayel, and Oliver Heldens.

For Q.U.A.K.E, whose project dates back more than a decade, “Holding On” continues his tradition of crafting emotionally potent, genre-blurring soundscapes. His discography includes work with Silver Panda, Innēr Sense (ofc), Weekend Heroes, HRÄG, and MVMB, with support from legends like Paul van Dyk, Vini Vici, and Armin van Buuren.

Together, Laura van Dam and Q.U.A.K.E deliver a powerful message through “Holding On”—one of unity, perseverance, and emotional release. This is more than a club track; it’s a sonic journey meant to uplift and connect.

“Holding On” is out July 25 on Dreamstate Records and available on all major streaming platforms.
