Eats Everything returns with a fresh dose of club magic in his latest single, “Upside Down,” arriving Friday, November 22nd via Sony Music. Originally an energetic club edit of Diana Ross’s iconic 1980 disco classic, this track has transformed into a must-have secret weapon for dance music heavyweights like Dom Dolla, Chris Lake, and Groove Armada.
After gaining underground traction as a bootleg, “Upside Down” now arrives as an official release with the blessing of disco legends Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards. The track’s irresistible groove and iconic sample, officially cleared through Anton Powers at Ministry of Sound, mark a milestone moment for Eats Everything.
“I made this a long time ago as a bootleg, on a whim, on a plane,” Eats Everything recalls. “Played it. It booted off. DJ friends played it. Then Sony cleared the sample, quoting my old mate Nile Rodgers saying, ‘This is the one, this will be BIG!’ Here we are—probably the most requested thing I’ve ever made.”
“Upside Down” follows Eats Everything’s recent hits, including “Happy People” featuring Stevie Appleton and the rave-inspired “Ghosts” with Chris Lorenzo and Lily McKenzie. His consistent output cements his reputation as a dynamic force in dance music.
To celebrate, Eats will perform at two of the UK’s most legendary venues: Manchester’s Warehouse Project on Friday, and DRUMSHEDS London on Saturday. He’ll then head stateside for shows in Washington DC and San Francisco on November 29th and 30th, respectively.
