B…T…S…M…B…T…S…M…The ground starts to vibrate, bass starts to fill your chest, excitement spreads through the air…is this is what it’s like to chew 5 gum? No, it’s just Black Tiger Sex Machine’s tour. BTSM’s Futuristic Thriller Tour brings a talented lineup and elevates the “live show” to the next level with a movie that goes along with their set.
Vampa’s music takes you to a dark, vibey underground cave, it’s filled with Bass and bats but they’re dancing too so it’s chill. She commands both the decks and crowd with break-your-neck-at-doors type beats and killer moves. Sometimes there can be a stale awkwardness when you come to a show when the doors open, everyone is still sipping their first drink and we’re swaying at most. This is where Vampa takes the lead; her high energy headbanging is infectious and irresistible, you’re dancing along with her before you’ve even made your way to the crowd.
The night takes a slight turn onto Blanke with a dark and beautiful blend of Bass music. With a wide range of sounds and an even wider taste in music, you’ll hear a carefully curated setlist designed to make you dance. You’ll hear some Dubstep, some Midtempo, something Melodic, and a little bit of Haley Williams, what else could you ask for? After collaborating on a heater with Black Tiger Sex Machine at the beginning of 2020 called “Time Travel”, it’s exciting to see all these guys back together again.
I’ve seen Black Tiger Sex Machine a handful of times so I thought I knew what to expect, I’ve never been so happy to be wrong. The Futuristic Thriller tour brings a massive stage design that includes a gigantic LED wall, fog, and a fuck ton of lasers, it’s so massive that a whole crew travels with them to build and tear it down every night. Shout out to those guys. The set incorporates the movie seamlessly, it sets up the premise of the story then fades away into the music where the story continues.

Update: As of March 13, 2020 Black Tiger Sex Machine has postponed the remainder of their Futuristic Thriller tour dates with the safety and health of attendees in mind. Postponed shows will be rescheduled as soon as possible.
