NYC Fashion Week is coming up soon, which also includes Valentine’s Day on Friday, February 14th. If that isn’t hot enough — Circoloco is coming back to Brooklyn for a special Fashion Week edition. This spectacular line-up will include Marco Carola, Mike Servito and (a personal favorite of mine) Tale Of Us. This event is sure to be a popular choice for partygoers that night, so it is probably wise to secure your tickets ASAP.
First on my list will be Tale of Us, whom I fell in love with from the moment I heard their style. Their remix of “Can’t Do Without You” by Caribou was specifically the first track to grab my attention. Soon after discovering them, their name appeared on the lineup for Detroit’s major Techno festival, Movement. I would soon be visiting a city I thought I’d never dare to step foot in, mostly excited to see them perform. Their set blew me into another dimension, figuratively and literally. They take you on a journey from beginning to end, hence the name they gave themselves. Their blend of dark Techno and Melodic House is hard to replicate. Don’t miss them if you haven’t been able to see them as this will be my most anticipated act of the night.
Marco Carola is quite a big deal himself and can be found near the top of festival lineups around the globe. I have not been honored to see him at work, but I am looking forward to it. From the sets I have come across online, he sure seems to know how to keep things groovy. Mastering the genre of Techno since the 90’s in Napoli, Italy he decided at some point in his career to spread his talent to other parts of the world. His journey has been full of success and he’s one of the most sought after names in the Electronic Dance Music scene.
Last but not least is Mike Servito, who has been gradually rising in the Techno scene throughout the years. He started off in the Techno capital of Detroit, but ventured over to the Big Apple when feeling the need for change in the late 2000s. Since his arrival in NYC, he has become better established in the scene and is on his way to big things. His style can best be described as a blend of Acid House and Techno, which leans more toward an old school 90s vibe. His set is likely to be memorable.
This special edition of Circoloco is going to be absolutely loco and it is highly advised you do not miss it (FOMO SUCKS).
