Black Tiger Sex Machine, often shortened to BTSM, is changing the way we experience live music. We thought we’ve seen it all from live instruments being incorporated into electronic music sets to trippy or dreamy visuals; we were wrong. BTSM has curated a one-of-a-kind live experience that now pairs a movie to their live set for their Futuristic Thriller tour.
Black Tiger Sex Machine is an Electro and Bass fusion trio from Montreal. It consists of Julien Maranda, Marc Chagnon, and Patrick Barry who are also the label heads of Kannibalen Records. The trio has set themselves apart from other artists by fusing triumphant Electro-House with heavy Dubstep while also being able to tell a story. The last time I caught a set of theirs there was a strong sense of a rise, climax, and comedown that left me feeling victorious.
The Futuristic Thriller tour takes the post-apocalyptic vibe they’ve built in their Futuristic Thriller Mix series and places it into an immersive movie. The tour is a continuation of the world they have been able to build through sound and go one deeper with it. The themes and storyline that will take place in the movie have been teased through their albums Welcome To Our Church and New Worlds. If you have caught them at a festival in the past couple of months you may also have seen a sneak-peak into the movie.
The tour will be an invigorating balance of dark Bass and a thrilling visual experience like never seen before. The Tour will also include some of our favorites as support like VAMPA, LSDREAM, Blanke, Kai Wachi, and Apashe.
