Resistance Vibes are Coming in HOT | Ultra Brings Detroit Techno to Miami with Richie Hawtin

by The Freaks - Staff

Buckle up Ultranauts… it’s time to return to Bayfront. The Resistance vibes are strong this year, with a full dose of Carl Cox, Oh Yes, Oh YES, YES, Maceo Plex, Tale of Us, Cirez D and Adam Beyer, and Amelie Lens… just to name a few. There are so many incredible Techno artists on this lineup, I may as well just camp in the Megastructure.

Personally, I couldn’t be more excited to see the return of the Techno master himself, Mr. Richie Hawtin. If you haven’t seen him yet, prepare yourselves. Hawtin is a beast on the decks. His legendary Techno king status rivals even Carl Cox’s, essentially helping to cement Detroit Techno as a stronghold in the early 1990s. Richie has been no stranger to artist aliases such as F.U.S.E., Circuit Breaker, or his most popular moniker, Plastikman. Plastikman was the literal stuff of dreams. Ahead of the curve, always unique, groundbreaking, and EXciting.

I’m absolutely gutted that I missed his live CLOSE shows. I heard from friends that it was like walking into the Matrix. Check out CLOSE COMBINED below:

Can you feel it? Listening to Richie Hawtin is excellent, but witnessing his true prowess on the machines he has actually handcrafted like the MODEL 1 mixer, co-designed by Andy Rigby-Jones for his technology company PLAY differently, brings the experience to a new level. He’s a legitimate genius.

I expect to see the Techno set of my dreams as he takes the stage at Resistance at Ultra Miami. Check out Richie Hawtin’s top tracks below, and grab your tickets now to witness Richie’s glorious return to Ultra Miami!
