West Coasts’ own Eprom is back with a fresh new single “Hope“. Released just last week on Deadbeats, it has already racked up hundreds of streams on Soundcloud. “Hope” is a haunting and mysterious masterpiece.
The track leads in with distorted, warped and distant vocals. It then comes in with synths, building tension with a vintage sound and scattered percussion. A heavy bassline cuts in on the drop, launching the track into a frantic pace of breaks and distorted heavy sub-bass. This then intermixes with the same drifting, haunting vocals from the start of the track, evoking a sense of chaos and confusion. It also creates the spectral and contorting sound we’ve all come to expect from Eprom.
The track closes with a distorted and glitchy sweep of synths, leaving the listener feeling curious and slightly disquieted, wondering what could possibly come next.
