By far the hardest hitting bass artists on The Alchemy Tour are NGHTMRE and SLANDER. Performing together again as NGHTMRE and SLANDER present: GUD VIBRATIONS, fans are sure to hear their favorite Bass hits as well as a wide range of new tracks to create an unforgettable performance. The collaboration between the two legendary artists has evolved into one of EDM’s most awe-inspiring projects and transforms The Alchemy Tour into a once in a lifetime event.
NGHTMRE and SLANDER originally met at Icon Collective Music Production School in Burbank, California and set out on a path to transform what bass music could be. The Gud Vibrations name comes from the title of a track the two artists released from their join EP “Nuclear Bonds” in 2015, and would set the tone for the collaborative style with is powerful lyrics, upbeat melodies and hard-hitting breakdown. Soon after, NGHTMRE and SLANDER present: GUD VIBRATIONS became a fully-fledged tour that sold out 36 shows in North America. The collaboration took on a life of its own, spawning a radio show on SiriusXM where the two artists showcase their favorite new music, and even stage takeovers at major festivals. However, their biggest accomplishment is the launch of the GUD VIBRATIONS record label in 2018 with “Deathwish (feat fknsyd)” by Wavedash as their first release. The GUD VIBRATIONS name continues to appear at major festivals and will surely make bring some of the heaviest Bass on The Alchemy Tour.
Individually both artists have taken over the bass scene at lightning speed and boast impressive discographies. NGHTMRE, aka Tyler Marenyi, first released several trap remixes and was soon signed to Diplo’s Mad Decent record label and released his track “Street.” He made a massive festival debut at EDC Las Vegas 2015. Soon after he would release “Nuclear Bonds” with SLANDER.In 2016 he released his first EP, NGHTMRE and followed up with the massive tracks “Feel Your Love” with Flux Pavilion and “Frontlines” with Zeds Dead. He played EDC Las Vegas 2019 and will be at Electric Zoo later this year.
The two legends behind SLANDER are Scott Land and Derek Andersen, and SLANDER is actually a mashup of their names – S(cott) LAN (and Derek) ANDER(sen). The duo met at UC Irvine and continue to create together at Icon Collective Music Production School in Burbank California. They first gained notoriety with their remixes of “We Like to Party” by Showtek and Above & Beyond’s “Love Is Not Enough” in 2014. They pioneered a subgenre that came to be known as “Heaven Trap” that beautifully mixes powerfully emotional melodies, soaring lyrics and massive Bass drops into unforgettable tracks. While their live sets often throw down some of the heaviest Bass at any festival, the duo continues to produce moving, passionate tracks like “First Time” with Seven Lions and Dabin, “All You Need to Know” with Gryffin, and “Potions” with Said The Sky and JT Roach.
The Alchemy Tour will kick off with Seven Lions, The Glitch Mob and NGHTMRE and SLANDER present: GUD VIBRATIONS in Long Beach, California on August 17th at Marina Green and continue on through a list of massive venues across the US.
