Dirtybird is the “WORD”

Starting her journey as a DJ just five years ago, VNSSA has become what she idolized most and joined the Dirtybird Records family. Her skyrocketing career has launched her into this week’s Woman Crush Wednesday spotlight. A well-deserving place for a high caliber woman with impressive skills that go far beyond her three years of producing. She returns for her second Dirtybird Campout West Coast this October 4th-6th to Modesto, CA alongside some of the labels’ dirtiest birds and highly sought after artists.

In keeping with the Dirtybird vibe, VNSSA’s original tunes and collabs come complete with tech funk basslines and infectious House beats. Her track with label heavyweights Walker & Royce, “WORD” reached #1 on Beatport and has been sweeping across sets in 2019 as an absolute House party anthem. Her credentials are impressive, having performed with a long list of remarkable artists, but the veracity is in her tracks. Careful, attentive build-ups to satisfying bassline reliefs are what really set VNSSA apart the average producer. Some of her tracks, like “Creatures” with BOT, embrace a slightly darker intensity than other artists in the same genre. Hard work and an affinity for the Dirtybird sound has turned VNSSA from fan to actual Dirtybird!

VNSSA’s House/Techno style set is at the top of our list when we visit the 2019 Campout, as her captivating tracks are sure to be a highlight of the festival this October. We also hear she also digs Disco, so let’s hope she plays some groovy tunes, man.
