The Crystal Method will hit over 30 tour stops in 2019 in support of THE TRIP HOME. The late 2018 release marked the group’s rebirth and transition from duo to solo act (Ken Jordan retired in 2017). Scott Kirkland will be bringing TCM’s Grammy-nominated big beat sounds to a city near you, including an appearance at Napa, CA’s BottleRock Festival in May.
Accompanying the tour date announcement, The Crystal Method is also releasing two new remixes from THE TRIP HOME. ‘Ghost In The City’ (Otosan Remix) will debut on February 8th, with ‘There’s A Difference’ (Matt Lange Remix) following on February 15th.
The Crystal Method’s elaborate sound design and futuristic synths have consistently found a home on video game and movie soundtracks. This year will be no different, with TCM lending talent to Guillermo Del Toro’s animated Netflix series ‘3 Below’. In addition to composing the series’ theme, the group also helped with sound design, immersing viewers in a futuristic landscape.
