Arizona local, LICK, who recently signed on DeadBeats, threw down a set as dark as the depths of hell from start to finish. The crowd loved him!
1788-L made his Arizona debut mystifyingly glorious, giving us a truly intense set. The twisted drops and energetic stage presence he gives off can be felt through the whole venue. We hope he returns to Arizona soon!
We knew Blunts & Blondes’ return to Arizona would be a little hazy, His set was so full of slappers and his visuals are dope! He even has one visual where he is a South Park character, which of course the stoners love.
TYNAN has been blowing up lately and it is well deserved. He is nasty on the turntables. His humor on the mic gets the crowd going, and then he just drops straight heaters. He played a few emo throwback songs for us 90s kids, and the crowd went crazy. At one point I heard a guy in the crowd go “Who the fuck is this guy? He’s so dope!” It is always so cool to witness someone become a fan.
And of course, Kayzo. The man of the hour started his highly anticipated set with a super spooky intro and brain-melting visuals to match. It felt like Halloween had come early. He played a ton of his original Doghouse bangers, including his remix of Papa Roach’s “Last Resort.” Then, at the end of his set, he announced that he had been getting tweets from fans going through some hard times, asking him to play the song “Floating,” and of course he did! What a perfect outro.
BOO! always has a scary good production and lineup. The craziness of Halloween makes any rave triple the fun. Hats off (and wigs and masks) to Relentless Beats and Insomniac for a great event. We hope to see it return again next year!
BOO! Arizona snuck up on the world in true Halloween fashion. Not only were we excited for the return of the event, but the lineup was perfect for the occasion. Without further ado, here are our top five favorite sets…
