Jaden Bojsen returns with “Mama Used To Say,” a new single out now on Still Be Around that draws inspiration from the soulful energy of 90s vocal house. Built around punchy piano stabs, warm organ chords, and uplifting vocals reminiscent of a church choir, the track pairs classic house influences with a deep, rolling bassline and polished modern production. The result is a feel-good club record designed to bring warmth and energy to the dancefloor.

The release marks a shift in direction from Jaden’s previous single, “ERICA,” which arrived in June through Insomniac Records on its Gotta Move imprint. That track leaned into stripped-back tech house, using spoken-word vocals and a darker, late-night atmosphere. “Mama Used To Say” takes the opposite approach, opening up the sound with soulful instrumentation, a memorable vocal hook, and a more communal energy suited to peak-time sets.

Together, the two releases highlight Jaden’s versatility as a producer. Rather than staying within one particular corner of electronic music, he moves between different club styles while keeping strong songwriting and memorable hooks at the center of his work. On “Mama Used To Say,” the combination of nostalgic house elements and contemporary production gives the track a timeless quality without losing its modern dancefloor appeal.

Based in Los Angeles, Jaden Bojsen is a DJ, producer, and songwriter who creates much of his music from his home studio in California. Before focusing on electronic music, he gained recognition as the frontman of New District, which BRAVO named the most popular boy band of 2016. He also won a US Teen Choice Award before turning his attention toward dance music production.

Since making that transition, Jaden has continued to build his presence in electronic music through releases and performances around the world. His collaborations with David Guetta, including “Let’s Go” and “Upside Down,” arrived through Spinnin’ Records, while his solo single “Lighthouse” further established his work as a producer. He has also performed at clubs and festivals across Europe, Asia, and the United States, including Ultra Music Festival.

With “Mama Used To Say,” Jaden Bojsen taps into the enduring appeal of classic vocal house while bringing his own modern production style to the sound. Its uplifting vocals, warm instrumentation, and driving bassline offer a clear contrast to “ERICA,” showing another side of his evolving approach to electronic music.
