Following the success of his latest album, BLACK MIDAS, electronic music artist ZHU continues to expand the project with “CALL ME BABY (SAY MY NAME),” a new collaboration featuring Canadian producer HNTR. Blending ZHU’s melodic house sensibilities with HNTR’s darker techno production, the track delivers a sultry, club-focused sound shaped by the two artists’ distinct approaches to electronic music.

The release builds on the pair’s previous collaboration, “Faded (Blacklizt Version),” which reached No. 1 on Beatport’s best-selling techno tracks chart in 2025. Their latest offering continues that creative partnership, pairing hypnotic melodies with darker electronic textures and a driving rhythm designed for the dancefloor. An extended version of “CALL ME BABY (SAY MY NAME)” will also arrive as a Beatport exclusive.

“I [have] been back in the clubs this year on my blacklizt mode. It was great to link with HNTR to make this club heater,” ZHU shares.

For HNTR, the collaboration brings a long-standing appreciation for ZHU’s music into a new creative partnership.

“Been a fan of ZHU since his first record. Really cool to work with him on original after having a massive remix of his most iconic track,” HNTR says. “Excited to see what’s next.”

The track has already developed a strong connection with audiences through ZHU’s live performances. He first debuted it at Ultra Miami in March 2026, where it quickly generated fan reactions and requests to identify the unreleased track. It subsequently became a recurring highlight in his sets, appearing at events and venues including Tomorrowland, Pacha NYC, Space Miami, Navy Pier Chicago, and Vaiven Festival Mexico.

Beyond the music itself, ZHU and HNTR developed an interactive campaign that brought fans directly into the rollout. The artists shared a phone number that allowed listeners to hear the track and contact them through texts and voicemails. Thousands of messages were received, with selections shared across social media, turning the release into a more personal exchange between the artists and their audience.

The collaboration also received an in-person celebration in Toronto, HNTR’s hometown. A pop-up performance at Coda sold out within seconds, reflecting the anticipation surrounding the pair’s latest work together.

ZHU is continuing to support the single with performances during Austin’s F1 weekend, including a sold-out show at Concourse on October 23 and another scheduled for October 25. The appearances extend the track’s journey from its initial debut at Ultra Miami to dancefloors across the international club circuit.

Known professionally as ZHU, Steven Zhu has built a career around pushing electronic music beyond conventional club and festival experiences. His work brings together music, visual concepts, and immersive atmospheres, creating a distinctive artistic identity that extends beyond the DJ booth. Through projects such as BLACK MIDAS and his Blacklizt performances, he continues to explore darker club sounds while developing new ways to connect with audiences.

With “CALL ME BABY (SAY MY NAME),” ZHU and HNTR build on their established creative chemistry, combining melodic house and dark techno into a track that has already become a fixture in ZHU’s sets. The release continues the momentum of BLACK MIDAS while reinforcing the pair’s shared interest in club music that prioritizes atmosphere, intensity, and artistic experimentation.
