Canadian producer borne returns to NIGHTMODE with “Pressure,” a high-energy club track that blends pounding percussion, hypnotic vocals, and bass-heavy production into a dancefloor-ready release. Building on his growing momentum in the electronic music scene, the Montreal producer continues to bring his bass music and UK garage influences into modern house.

Once a hidden gem in Montreal’s club scene, borne has developed a sound that moves between heavy basslines and rolling, high-energy grooves. His latest single showcases that versatility, pairing a steady rhythmic foundation with an arrangement designed to build anticipation before delivering an explosive drop.

“Pressure” opens with driving percussion and hypnotic chants before settling into a groove shaped by Afrobeats-inspired vocals and dancehall energy. Gritty, catchy hooks gradually intensify the track, creating tension before the bass-heavy drop arrives. Mesmerizing melodies and rich synths carry the production through its final stretch, balancing the track’s forceful low end with a melodic edge.

Speaking about the track’s structure, borne explains that he wanted to make the breakdowns more playful and energetic without taking away from the impact of the drop. The contrast allows the arrangement to build anticipation while preserving an element of surprise when the beat hits.

“‘Pressure’ is a track where I was able to make something more fun and energetic in the breakdowns without taking away from the drop. The breaks perfectly set up the listener for a fun and enjoyable experience waiting for the drop without giving away too much so they still have a ‘shock’ factor when it hits,” borne says.

The release follows two successful singles on NIGHTMODE that helped establish borne as a producer to watch. His 2025 track “Go Again” surpassed 1.29 million streams and earned placements on Apple Music playlists New In Dance and danceXL, Spotify’s All New Dance and Bangers, and Amazon Music’s Fresh EDM.

Earlier this year, “Can I” continued that momentum, surpassing 500,000 streams and securing placements on Spotify’s Proto- and Amazon Music’s Brand New Music Canada. Together, the releases have helped introduce his sound to a broader audience while attracting support from established names across electronic music.

Among the artists supporting borne are Skrillex, Zedd, Knock2, Four Tet, Zeds Dead, Kaskade, Alison Wonderland, and Don Diablo. His music has also appeared in sets by Fred again.. and Chris Lake, highlighting the growing reach of his bass-driven approach to club production.

With “Pressure,” borne continues building on that foundation, delivering a track that combines his heavier production style with an emphasis on groove, tension, and release. The single adds another chapter to his developing relationship with NIGHTMODE while pushing his sound further into the modern house landscape.

He is also preparing for a run of upcoming appearances, including Niteharts Festival and its official afterparty, Nocturnal Valley, Brownies & Lemonade’s No Phone Zone pop-up, and Countdown NYE 2027. As his releases gain traction and his music reaches more dancefloors, borne is continuing to carve out his place in the evolving club scene.
