Multiplatinum, chart-topping Dutch DJ and producer Martin Garrix is entering a more personal chapter with his latest single, “This Dream Of You,” out now via Darkroom Records. The track marks another step forward for Garrix as he places his own vocals at the heart of one of his productions, pushing beyond his usual comfort zone.

“This Dream Of You” first premiered as the opening track to Garrix’s headline set at Tomorrowland, giving the song an important place in his recent live performances. Since then, he has continued building anticipation with stripped-back acoustic performances and snippets shared across social media.

The song begins with an orchestral, ethereal symphony before transitioning into Garrix’s own vocals and signature production. Light textures and euphoric melodies give the track an expansive feel, while the lyric “this dream of you is my way of coping” adds an emotional center to the production.

Following “Catharina,” an earlier release that introduced Garrix’s vocals, “This Dream Of You” takes that idea even further. Rather than simply adding his voice to the production, Garrix places it at the center of the song, making the release a particularly personal moment in his career.

Garrix explains what the track means to him:

“This Dream of You is a really special one for me. Singing is very far outside of my comfort zone, but I’ve been wanting to push myself, try new things and keep learning. I first played the track as my intro at Tomorrowland, which made that moment even more personal, and I’m so excited to finally share the full song with everyone. Having my own voice at the center of one of my productions is something I never thought I’d do, so this release means a lot to me.”

The new single arrives during a busy period for Garrix, who has recently continued expanding his creative reach through several major collaborations. His latest release, “Fireflies,” with 22-time Grammy Award-winning Rock & Roll Hall of Fame band U2, marks the first time all four members of U2 have appeared on a track with Garrix.

The collaboration combines Bono’s unmistakable vocals and U2’s iconic sound with Garrix’s production style, with the song reaching the Top 10 at UK Radio. Its accompanying music video brings the concept to life through a real-life drone show, with each glowing firefly represented by an actual drone in the sky.

Garrix has also recently collaborated with Madonna on “Bizarre” for his newest album, Confessions 11. He first premiered the track during his three-night run at Barclays Center in New York.

Another recent collaboration came with Ed Sheeran on “Repeat It,” a pop crossover more than a decade in the making. Released in May, the track has since reached the Top 15 on Mediabase Top 40.

Alongside the steady stream of new music, Garrix has continued bringing his massive live production around the world. He recently wrapped the first leg of his biggest and most ambitious headline tour to date, the Martin Garrix Americas Tour, before heading overseas for a major European festival run that included headline performances at Tomorrowland and Creamfields, as well as his celebrated residency at Ushuaïa Ibiza.

Now, the Americas Tour continues with Garrix heading to Latin America, including stops in Mexico City, Costa Rica, Colombia, and Peru, among others. With new music, large-scale production, and an increasingly personal approach to his artistry, Martin Garrix continues to expand what his live shows and music can be.
