Los Angeles-based DJ, producer, and international cultural tastemaker Mia Moretti officially enters a new chapter with the release of her new EP, GET READY!, out today, August 21, via Spaghetti Moretti Records. Spanning five original tracks and two remixes, the project brings together infectious club rhythms, unforgettable riffs, gospel-house influences, and adventurous techno experimentation into a collection designed to work just as naturally on a packed dancefloor as it does at a sun-soaked daytime party.
The EP arrives following a summer of momentum for Moretti, who has steadily introduced listeners to its sound through a series of releases. The previously unveiled title track “GET READY!” leads the project alongside the summer-ready “backseat baby” featuring Uffie, a collaboration co-written by acclaimed pop songwriter Sarah Hudson, whose credits include work with Dua Lipa and Katy Perry.
“backseat baby” also receives a pair of new interpretations, with Radio Slave and Blakkat contributing remixes available across streaming platforms, while Spatial Awareness delivers an exclusive version for Beatport.
Elsewhere, GET READY! expands its palette through the bright and melodic “Want You Now” and the extended, gospel-leaning “Desire.” The EP’s focus track, “Everybody” featuring Vonita White, brings together several of Moretti’s core musical influences, blending gospel house, jackin house, and classic house into one spirited club record.
“Everybody” was recorded during the same session as Moretti and Vonita White’s first collaboration, “Best I Can,” which reimagined a forgotten house classic nearly three decades after White originally recorded its vocals. The new track grew organically from that same creative environment.
“We were just playing around at the end of the day since we had a little extra time,” recalls Mia Moretti. “I brought the track to Blakkat, who I’ve collaborated with on a lot of this EP, and I let him sort of go wild with the SHABOOM magic. It’s a special one near and dear to the heart because I got to incorporate all my favorite elements of gospel house, jackin house, and classic house in one track.”
The EP’s release also arrives alongside a busy run of activity for Moretti, who recently announced a New York City DJ appearance at Pacha on August 22. The performance will give fans an opportunity to hear selections from GET READY! alongside other favorites from her growing catalog.
Beyond the studio and dancefloor, Moretti continues expanding the world surrounding “Chef’s Kiss,” her monthly SIRIUS XM show on Diplo’s Revolution (Ch. 53). The program airs on the first Saturday of each month and has recently expanded internationally with a summer run in Ibiza.
The Ibiza series coincides with Moretti’s newly announced artist residency at Nocturna, the intimate boutique nightclub located beneath Los Felices hotel in Cala de Bou. With a 380-person capacity, a no-phones policy, audiophile-focused sound system, and intimate dancefloor, the venue provides a setting that aligns closely with Moretti’s emphasis on music, community, and immersive club culture.
The remaining Chef’s Kiss Radio Ibiza at Nocturna dates are August 29 and September 5. Throughout the series, Moretti welcomes an eclectic group of guests including Abel, Alex Kahan, Barbara Boeing, Heidi Lawden, Hen Yanni, Myd, Radio Slave, Scarlett O’Malley, and Toy Tonics Crew featuring Kapote and Alot.
