South Florida-born singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Q Marsden is hitting the road this fall in support of his sophomore album, DO YOU SEE ME?, out now via Columbia Records. The upcoming North American tour will bring his genre-fluid new material to stages across the U.S. and Canada, beginning November 3 in Toronto, Ontario.
The tour will make stops in major cities including Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, New York, Chicago, Houston, Dallas, Los Angeles and San Francisco, giving fans the opportunity to experience Q’s expansive new album in a live setting. Tickets are available through Q Marsden’s official website.
DO YOU SEE ME? serves as an intimate yet adventurous portrait of an artist learning to embrace the complexity of his own identity. Written and produced by Q Marsden alongside collaborators including Romil Hemnani and Jacob Olofsson, the 15-track album moves freely between soul, jazz, funk, R&B and experimental pop.
Rather than settling into a single sonic lane, the album mirrors the unpredictable nature of thought and emotion. Shifting arrangements, layered vocals and unexpected structural turns allow moments of tenderness, anxiety, humor and wonder to exist side by side, creating a record that feels both deeply personal and constantly in motion.
The album features appearances from Deb Never, Marco McKinnis and UMI, alongside previously released singles including “hey there [i have a compulsive complex]” and “i wish you were here.”
Created during one of the most transformative periods of Q’s life, DO YOU SEE ME? finds the artist choosing to embrace uncertainty rather than attempting to neatly organize it. That willingness to let contradictions coexist gives the album much of its emotional and musical character, resulting in Q’s most adventurous and fully realized project to date.
The album also builds upon the musical foundation established with his debut, Soul,PRESENT. Where that project introduced audiences to Q’s emotionally rich songwriting and virtuosic musicianship, DO YOU SEE ME? pushes those qualities into more experimental territory.
